This session takes an in-depth look at the multi award-winning First Nations animated television series for children, Little J & Big Cuz. The series has won the 2017 ATOM SAE Award for Best Children’s Television Program, the 2018 Logie Award for Most Outstanding Children’s Program, and many more. The panel which includes Tasmanian Aboriginal television series director Tony Thorne, Tasmanian Aboriginal writer Adam Thompson, Tasmanian Aboriginal language consultant Daisy Allan, Tasmanian Aboriginal voice actor Skye Cox, and series co-producer David Gurney, discusses the nuances of creating, financing and producing this ground-breaking show and the subsequent Indigenous language versions that have followed.
