SPEAKER: Leonie Van Eyk
Leonie Van Eyk is a film-maker, photographer, stage manager and puppeteer based in Castlemaine. She has a long standing inclusive and participatory arts practice creating multifaceted visual artworks in collaboration with others, ultimately exploring the vulnerability of human experience. Leonie provides innovative and tailored content creation to organisations and creative individuals, by producing video documents with a special focus on the arts, education and culture. More recently Arena Theatre Company, Bendigo Art Gallery, Lot 19 Arts Collective, The Mill, Castlemaine, Maryborough Council, CreateA, Weave Movement Theatre as well as other local creative professionals. Her recent work Trespass in collaboration with Gretel Taylor, exhibited at Lot 19 Arts collective in a group show called Upwelling. She has presented engaging works within the Castlemaine State Festival, Bendigo Projection Festival, The Regional Centre For Culture, Creative Victoria, Lot 19 Arts collaborative.
Leonie also currently sits on the board for the Castlemaine Documentary Film Festival. Leonie has worked alongside some of Melbourne's greater known companies such as Black Hole Theatre, Splash arts Theatre, Bombay Royale, Weave Movement Theatre, Arts Project Australia, Polyglot, Snuff Puppets and Ignition Theatre.
