SPEAKER: Annique Goldenberg
Annique Goldenberg has lived near water all her life, as a child learning to sail on the coastal waters of England, and as an adult spending 10 years living on yachts sailing various Oceans with her husband and children. She currently lives next to the Pacific Ocean on Bundjalung country in Northern NSW, Australia. Not surprisingly, water has emerged as the central material and inspiration in her visual art practice, and her work explores the connective and transformative properties of this precious element through an examination of our human relationship with it in all its forms. Her multidisciplinary practice covers participatory installation, community workshops, papermaking, artist books, printmaking, and photography. Annique is currently researching a Doctor of Visual Art at Queensland College of Art, Griffith University in Brisbane.
