SPEAKER: Adelaide Wood
In July 2017 Adelaide relocated from her home in Hobart, via a stint in Alice Springs, to join the Tracks team in Darwin. Adelaide has a background in festivals, large-scale public events, cultural tourism and the music industry. Her experience as an arts management spans almost two decades and is centred around delivering skills development, creative engagement and programs that hero the unique connections between people and place. Her passion for arts management comes from an uncanny ability to straddle the creative world and the business world. Her management skill set is honed in: strategic planning and capacity building, brand management, creative problem solving, team leadership and stakeholder engagement. Adelaide has been mentored by renowned community cultural development practitioner Dr Neil Cameron, which in her own words “set my sail on a path of creative community engagement”. She has an Advanced Diploma in Tourism and Events and a Bachelor of Business from the University of Tasmania (UTAS).
